More than 1,700 primary schoolchildren in the rural Hoa Vang district of Da Nang City, Vietnam recently participated in our Little Green Guards® introductory lessons that focus on seven highly endangered species found in the Annamite Mountains. These lessons form an integral part of our Save the Magnificent Seven curricula that not only awaken children’s natural inquisitiveness, but also cultivate their love for native species.
We implemented our program in collaboration with Center for Adaptive Capacity Building Research (CAB), Vietnam, and with full support from the Department of Education and Training of Hoa Vang District, as well as the Board of Directors of Hoa Phu1-3, Hoa Phuoc 1-2 and Hoa Khuong Primary Schools.
Informative and fun program that fosters feelings of pride
None of our educational efforts would be possible without the dedicated members of our LVDI family. We especially thank Thi Trang Le (Vietnam Country Director), Thi Kim Ly Tran (Communication Specialist) and our volunteers for their incredible hard work throughout the program implementation. Also, we sincerely thank Van Tuan Bui for allowing us to exhibit his amazing photographs, Thuy Nga Nguyen of CAB for her sage advice and facilitation, Mama Le for nourishing our team with her delicious home-cooked meals, and our donors for their generous support.
