At LVDI International we view conservation as an investment. We invest in passionate, dedicated individuals throughout the world who are committed to raising awareness, and fostering environmental responsibility and stewardship in people of all ages. Mr. Bishwanath Rijal (Nepal Program Coordinator) is one such commendable individual. Because of his unwavering determination, LVDI International continues to expand our conservation portfolio in Nepal while exceeding our goals and fulfilling our mission. On June 5th, World Environment Day, LVDI International responded to the United Nations’ call to action, Beat Plastic Pollution, by organizing the If You Can’t Reuse It, Refuse It event at the Samakhusi English Boarding (SEB) School in Kathmandu. The SEB School is now the 20th Little Green Guards® school we serve in Nepal. Mr. Rijal, together with the Director and teachers of SEB, worked tirelessly to create a highly engaging program. The students proudly did their part too. They contributed essays about plastic pollution and voiced their concerns, vowing to conquer plastic pollution in their generation. The teachers, moved by their students’ enthusiasm, pledged their support to overcome this global environmental challenge.
Our return on investment in conservation is multiplied when people take action to protect the environment and encourage others to do the same. Beating plastic pollution is everyone’s responsibility. Please join us and make everyday a World Environment Day!
