LVDI International and GreenViet proudly present our first Vietnamese children’s storybook aimed to increase the protection of the red-shanked douc (Pygathrix nemaeus) and its critical habitat on Son Tra Peninsula. Chuyển Phiêu Lưu của Voọc Vui Vẻ (ISBN: 978-604-84-5876-8), which translates to The Adventure of Douc Vui Ve, is the latest publication in our Little Green Guards® Conservation Education Book Series. From initial concept to final publication, this 40-page book would not have been possible without the hard work of the author, contributing experts, illustrator and graphics designer. We wish to give special thanks to our donors who share our mission and have contributed generously to the red-shanked douc conservation project.
In an effort to safeguard biodiversity in central Vietnam, we have incorporated The Adventure of Douc Vui Ve in our Save the Magnificent Seven curricula that increase wildlife literacy in elementary schoolchildren. All of our lessons and educational materials, including this storybook, are provided free of charge to children who participate in our Little Green Guards® program.
