LVDI Delegates Attend Inaugural African Primatological Society Congress

LVDI International commends Mr. Mariano Houngbedji (Benin Education Program Coordinator) for his leadership role as a member of the African Primatological Society (APS) Steering Committee. He and other dedicated range-country conservationists have been drafting the Society’s constitution for this newly formed organization. Mr. Houngbedji, Ms. Chrystelle Dakpogan (Benin Conservation Program Coordinator) and Ms. Rose Marie Randrianarison (Madagascar Program Coordinator) all delivered podium presentations on their important conservation efforts at the Inaugural Congress of the APS held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire on July 24-27, 2017. Among the many achievements highlighted, they reported their work in the Little Green Guards® educational program designed to increase understanding of and instill empathy toward wildlife in children living near forest habitats. LVDI International wishes to thank our donors, including the Margot Marsh Biodiversity Foundation, for their generous contribution to the Little Green Guards® program.
